I'm a big fan of travel narratives. Theroux is one of the best travel narrative writers. Last year I read what he thinks might be his last travel narrative book. It was a very different trip than Iron Rooster.

I read The Kingdom by the Sea by Paul Theroux in which he walked around the UK - while I was on vacation in the UK. It was fun to read his take on it. I agree that he is a great travel narrative writer!

It's always nice when what is on the cover and what is in the book match well, and Moon Over Manifest is a great example of that!

I read the first book in that Lauren Willig series, bought a bunch more, but still haven't had a chance to read them. Come see my week here. Happy reading!

It's funny that you say that, Kathy, because that's pretty much what I've done. This one (the third in the series), I bought nearly a year ago, and I'm finally getting around to reading it!

I've heard really good things about 'Moon over Manifest', so I hope you enjoyed it! I haven't read any Jules Verne yet but I really want to! Thanks for sharing :)

Moon Over Manifest was very enjoyable, and Jules Verne was a really interesting read. I hope you read something by him someday!

My name is Julie, and I own a lot of books. As in, they are stacked on the floor because I've run out of room on the shelves. And those shelves? There are so many books on them that they smile -- not sag; smile. This blog will cover book reviews and all manner of other bookish things.
