The Bout of Books read-a-thon is organized by Amanda @ On a Book Bender and Kelly @ Reading the Paranormal. It is a week long read-a-thon that begins 12:01am Monday, May 11th and runs through Sunday, May 17th in whatever time zone you are in. Bout of Books is low-pressure. There are challenges, giveaways, and a grand prize, but all of these are completely optional. I don't usually participate in read-a-thons like this during the school year. My evenings are typically filled with grading papers and other school-like things. But since this Bout of Books is in May, and the school year is starting to wind down . . . well, let's just say I probably shouldn't participate, but I'm going to anyway. Reading is a necessary part of life. Might as well do it whenever I can! :)
