I like the idea of not setting a reading goal. I set a rather ambitious one this time and completely failed my first day reading. Good luck with the rest of the readathon. I hope you are able to read lots!

I've set pretty lofty goals in the past for this readathon and discovered that just doesn't work for me. I hope the rest of your readathon goes well! Enjoy your reading!

I did really like The Chilbury Ladies' Choir. It's my book club book for the month, so I'm really looking forward to discussing it. Glad you enjoyed it, too!

I've never done Bout of Books, but I don't know why. It looks like you all have fun and get a lot of reading in!

My son really enjoyed Word of Mouse, as well as the House of Robots series by the same authors.

You should try Bout of Books one of these times, Lindsey! It is a lot of fun and very low-pressure.

I haven't read the House of Robots series, but I have read a couple of the I Funny series by Patterson & Grabenstein. They make a good team, and I can see why kids enjoy their books so much!

I found that audiobooks really helped me with getting through books for this readathon. It's also nice that you can multitask while they're on :) I hope you enjoy what you read today.
