It snowed here on Saturday! I love snow - especially at this point in the season. I must admit to getting a little tired of it. We got around 5 inches, and it was so beautiful coming down in fluffy, white flakes and coating the tree branches. Perfect weather for hot chocolate and a good book!

What I Read Last Week

The Adventures of Tom Sawyer by Mark Twain (This was a fun read.)
The Reading Promise: My Father and the Books We Shared by Alice Ozma (Really enjoyed this one!)
Cinder by Marissa Meyer (I see what everyone has been raving about! Can't wait to get my hands on the rest of this series!)

What I'm Reading Now

The Moonstone by Wilkie Collins (Just started this one yesterday, so I've barely gotten into it. But I'm enjoying it so far!)
The Importance of Being Earnest and Four Other Plays by Oscar Wilde (I'm halfway through An Ideal Husband now. And just one play to go after that!)

What's Coming Up Next

Picture
Island of the Aunts by Eva Ibbotson (I'm not 100% settled on what I'm reading next, since I know The Moonstone is going to take awhile. But it'll probably be this middle grade novel.)

You've shared a couple of books I've been interested in for quite some time now.

I tend to avoid series because I have a hard time keeping up between the release dates, so unless I read them in order I just don't enjoy them that much. That's one of the reasons I've put of reading Cinder, that and the hype - hype always makes me questionable. I look forward to hearing your thoughts on that one.

Wilkie Collins is one classic author I still need to explore!

I am glad I didn't start reading Cinder until the whole series was published. That's much better than waiting months in between!

Wilkie Collins doesn't get as much press as other Victorian authors, but I've really enjoyed what I've read by him so far!

I have to admit that I haven't read anything by Wilkie Collins, but Moonstone looks lovely.

Enjoy your week and the fluffy snow. Here are <a href=http://bluemondaysnomore.wordpress.com/2015/11/21/weekly-updates-a-few-glitches//> MY WEEKLY UPDATES </a>

The Moonstone is theoretically the first detective novel, and it's really interesting to see how the genre has developed over the years!

Love that you loved Cinder. I have it to read but probably will be 2016 before I get to it. The good thing is they are all out so we get to choose the time we read them. I really like that!!

I'm really glad I put off reading Cinder precisely for that reason - now I can binge read the whole series!

I've only read The Dead Secret by Wilkie Collins. The Moonstone looks interesting. Enjoy your week.

Wilkie Collins seems to write some real page-turning books. The Moonstone is definitely one of those!

I was crazy over Oscar Wilde in my mid20s. I have to return to him soonest. :)

I hadn't read anything of his before this. It's been interesting to experience so many of his plays.
