This weekly chance to add to your reading list is hosted by Kathryn at Book Date.
It finally snowed! We haven't had a good snowstorm here since just before Thanksgiving. The roads are not fun to be out on, but it's a perfect time to be reading a good book in a warm, cozy house!

Anne of Windy Poplars by L.M. Montgomery (I'm kind of unofficially participating in Reading to Know's L.M. Montgomery Challenge this month. It gives me a good excuse to revisit Anne once a year.)
War and Peace by Leo Tolstoy (As I mentioned in my post, I'm going to be putting my weekly progress here so that I have all of you to hold me accountable. I successfully completed my first week of reading - 105 out of 1,361 pages done!

Good luck with "War and Peace"! The only Tolstoy I've read is "Anna Karenina"--which was interesting enough, but man....that was a long book!

I'm going to need all the luck I can get! I read Anna Karenina, too, back in college. I don't remember much about it, other than it was really long. . . Hopefully I get more out of War and Peace. :)

It's surprisingly not a reread for me. I just never got into them when I was a kid, so it's about time that I read them! There's a read-along happening this year. My sign-up post goes up tomorrow. You might be interested in joining in! :)

Yay for snow! We got a ton more overnight here. It is so pretty and fluffy. I am going to try to get some good reading in during a certain baby's nap time today.

So Many Books looks amazing! Lol. And I feel the author's pain - I will have to read it!

Reading while watching the snow fall is the best. Hopefully he takes a nice long nap for you! :)

My name is Julie, and I own a lot of books. As in, they are stacked on the floor because I've run out of room on the shelves. And those shelves? There are so many books on them that they smile -- not sag; smile. This blog will cover book reviews and all manner of other bookish things.
