Happy St. Patrick's Day! Normally, I would be teaching school right now instead of posting this. However, due to a water main break, we have no school today. That makes Day #12 that we've had off this school year. There's been no word yet as to how all of these days will affect our end date in June. So for now, Pevensie and I are just going to enjoy the day!

What I Read Last Week

The Help by Kathryn Stockett (I finished it with plenty of time to spare before our second book club meeting - this Friday. I loved this book, and I can't wait to discuss it!)

What I'm Reading Now

A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court by Mark Twain (Not exactly what I expected, but I'm definitely enjoying it.)

What's Coming Up Next

The Little White Horse by Elizabeth Goudge (for the Reading to Know Book Club)

After that, it's back to selecting books off my own shelves. I'm falling way behind in my goal for my Mount TBR Challenge!

Yup, Pevensie's just soaking up the sun. I love that it's sunny enough outside that she can do that! :)

I too enjoyed The Help. The Mark Twain looks pretty good too! Enjoy your day home! We have missed 14 days this year and thought with our weather yesterday and last night that we might miss today. But, thankfully, thay had school! :)

We've had days off for snow, ice, sickness, and now a water main issue. Time for spring and some consistency!

I enjoyed the move, The Help, but did not read the book. Have a great week!

Our book club is planning to watch the movie after we discuss the book. I'm looking forward to comparing the two!

I remember loving The Little White Horse as a kid.
A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court wasn't what I expected either but I still enjoyed it. Hope you do to. :)

I'd never heard of The Little White Horse before, and I don't know how I missed out on it as a kid! It's exactly the sort of book I would have loved. At least I'm discovering it now. It's not too late!

My name is Julie, and I own a lot of books. As in, they are stacked on the floor because I've run out of room on the shelves. And those shelves? There are so many books on them that they smile -- not sag; smile. This blog will cover book reviews and all manner of other bookish things.
