Mini-Challenge #2 for the Newbery Reading Challenge
A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court by Mark Twain - Review
This weekly meme is hosted by Sheila at Book Journey. This week is spring break!! Time to get stuff done (garden is already cleaned out and ready for spring)! Time to relax! And time to read!! Can you tell I'm excited? My Recent PostsMy 2014 Reading Thus Far Mini-Challenge #2 for the Newbery Reading Challenge A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court by Mark Twain - Review What I Read Last WeekThe Constantine Codex by Paul Maier (Definitely worth the second chance I gave it. I'm glad I decided to reread it!) What I'm Reading NowTravels in the Greater Yellowstone by Jack Turner (This is a bit more soapbox-y than I'd like, but it's still an interesting look at Yellowstone National Park and the areas that surround it.) What's Coming Up NextThe Unknown Ajax by Georgette Heyer (In honor of spring break, I thought I would indulge myself with one of my favorite authors. Time for a vacation in Regency England!)

I had to make a to-do list so that I would be certain to get done what I actually needed to, instead of just reading the week away. It's a good thing I'm a sucker for checking things off of lists!

I really enjoy Georgette Heyer! This one looks really good! I finally finished a book to review and am almost done with another. Hopefully I can get back into the swing of things soon.

Oh, spring break. I remember those days. :-) The Yellowstone book looks good but I don't like the sound of soap-boxy. Enjoy your week!

There are certainly pluses to being a teacher, and spring break is one of them! The nature-y parts of the Yellowstone book were great, but the conservation spiels were a little much. I don't mind reading it once or twice, but eighteen times in the same book? It got to be rather tiring.

Heyer's books are almost like having more Jane Austen books in the world. They're just fun, little, witty reads. Perfect for spring break!

My name is Julie, and I own a lot of books. As in, they are stacked on the floor because I've run out of room on the shelves. And those shelves? There are so many books on them that they smile -- not sag; smile. This blog will cover book reviews and all manner of other bookish things.
