Riding the Iron Rooster by Paul Theroux (Just confirms how little I know about China's history. I'll keep trying to fix that!)
The Deception of the Emerald Ring by Lauren Willig (Love this series!)
The Service of Clouds by Delia Falconer (Not quite what I expected, but a good read overall.)

What I'm Reading Now

When You Reach Me by Rebecca Stead (Still chipping away at the Newbery Award winners list, and enjoying this one immensely!)

What's Coming Up Next

Good luck with the Harry Potter Challenge. I read the first 3 books and hope to return to the series at some point.

I'm looking forward to my Harry Potter marathon, but I'm also a little nervous. Those are some long books! But they are good ones, for sure. I hope you get a chance to finish the series soon.

When You Reach Me is supposed to be fantastic. I've heard a lot of comparisons to A Wrinkle in Time, so I will be interested to see what you think!

A Wrinkle in Time is the main character's favorite book, but there are more similarities than just that. So far, it's been my favorite Newbery winner that I've read this year. It's a great book.
