This weekly chance to add to your reading list is hosted by Sheila at Book Journey. Well, we've had our first snowfall. Halloween night was windy and cold with freezing rain that turned into snow overnight! Has anyone else had snow yet? Jesus by Walter Wangerin (Writing a novel of Jesus' life is tough. I give Wangerin credit for trying, but I honestly wasn't all that impressed.) Bitter Chocolate: The Dark Side of the World's Most Seductive Sweet by Carol Off (Not exactly cheerful reading, but certainly interesting.) Persuasion by Jane Austen (It's been awhile since I've read this one, and I think it's time for a reread!)

I like Anne, too! It's so nice to see her get what she wants after so many years of being put-upon by her relatives.

We almost had snow! The weatherman kept forecasting it for the Detroit Metro area, and it came pretty close with freezing temps and rain. It just didn't quite happen. It was a pretty miserable Halloween though!

We just got a dusting, but at least it was something. I was so glad I just got to stay inside and pass out candy!

We had snow! Started around 2am Sat morning. By morning we had a good 3-4 inches. It only lasted for the day and started melting by evening but there were still patches of it through Sunday. It was great, and I can't wait for more!! :D Here's my It's Monday! What are you Reading? post.

There is something about this time of year that makes it perfect for comfort reads, isn't there?

My name is Julie, and I own a lot of books. As in, they are stacked on the floor because I've run out of room on the shelves. And those shelves? There are so many books on them that they smile -- not sag; smile. This blog will cover book reviews and all manner of other bookish things.
