What I Read Last Week
Persuasion by Jane Austen (A pleasure, as always)
This weekly chance to add to your reading list is hosted by Sheila at Book Journey. Whew! What a crazy week last week was. Parent-teacher conference were Wednesday and Thursday. I hosted book club Friday night (which meant cooking dinner for way more people than I have ever cooked for before). And Saturday was spent painting our soon-to-be-finished master bedroom and bathroom. I'm looking forward to a calmer week! My Recent PostsFull House Reading Challenge - Complete! So that limits it to. . .oh, about a thousand choices. I guess I'll wait and see what I'm in the mood for!

I reread Austen on a fairly regular basis, but it had been quite awhile since I read Persuasion. I definitely enjoyed it, as I knew I would! :)

Things calmed down somewhat - at least enough for me to escape into Elizabethan England! :)

The Shakespeare book is really interesting. I love finding out what's happening in history as he is writing each play. Very much recommended if you like Shakespeare!

Your week does sound busy! I hope you enjoy a slower week this week, reading whatever book you decide upon. :)

Thanks, Erin. It took me until Saturday night to finish the Shakespeare book, so I had plenty of time to think about what book I was going to pick next. :)

My name is Julie, and I own a lot of books. As in, they are stacked on the floor because I've run out of room on the shelves. And those shelves? There are so many books on them that they smile -- not sag; smile. This blog will cover book reviews and all manner of other bookish things.
