What I Read Last Week
Rabbit-Proof Fence by Doris Pilkington (Our August selection for the Reading Together book club. Look! I'm ahead!)
This weekly chance to add to your reading list is hosted by Kathryn at Book Date. Happy August, everybody! July went by extremely fast, capped off by a lazy weekend full of thunderstorms that my little guy surprisingly slept through (I don't know how he did that). Now it's on to busy August. Book club this week - at a campground! I can't wait for s'mores over a campfire! My Recent PostWhat I Read Last WeekThe Missing Ink: The Lost Art of Handwriting by Philip Hensher (Anything you ever wanted to know about handwriting styles, history, and quirky facts.) Great round up. The Missing Ink looks amazing and as soon as I get my copy of The Cursed Child I'll probably forget everything else exists too.

There's just something about a new Harry Potter book that makes it take precedence over life, isn't there? :)

I didn't preorder HPATCC, although I do have it on hold at the library... (I'm 6th in line, even though I ordered it a couple of months ahead of time. Oh well.) I'm excited to read it (and hoping not to get spoiled) but I'm scared that I won't like it as much, or be unsatisfied with the ending, and then be disappointed!

I'm pretty nervous about reading it, too. A new Harry Potter book is a really big deal! :)

Although I don't plan on reading it myself, I do look forward to hearing your thoughts on The Cursed Child.

I didn't realize s'mores weren't really a British thing. You should definitely try them, Jade! They are so good! :)

My name is Julie, and I own a lot of books. As in, they are stacked on the floor because I've run out of room on the shelves. And those shelves? There are so many books on them that they smile -- not sag; smile. This blog will cover book reviews and all manner of other bookish things.
