This weekly chance to add to your reading list is hosted by Sheila at Book Journey.
So did anyone participate in National Readathon Day this weekend? If possible, you were supposed to read from 12 to 4 p.m. on Saturday. I was working on report cards most of the day, but I was able to join in for the last hour or so. I like the idea of the whole country sitting down and reading for an afternoon. I'm sure it didn't happen quite like that, but hey, it's only the first year! :)

What I Read Last Week

A Passion Redeemed by Julie Lessman (I didn't like it as well as the first book in the series, but it was still a great read. Such a twisty plot!)
Lost Lake by Sarah Addison Allen (It goes without saying that I loved this book!)

What I'm Reading Now

Balance: A Story of Faith, Family, and Life on the Line by Nik Wallenda (This guy is crazy. I don't know how he does it, but it's fascinating to read about! And I love the way he constantly brings up his faith in God.)

What's Coming Up Next

Picture
Little Women by Louisa May Alcott (I don't know why, but I've been in the mood to reread this one lately.)

Balance sounds interesting! I'll have to keep an eye out for that one!

It was interesting. I spent 20 minutes on YouTube when I was done, watching some of his stunts. That man is crazy! :)

I saw it on Goodreads just in time. Next year I hope I can plan ahead and actually have all four hours to read! :)

I think I'll re-read Little Women this year too... it's a beautiful classic. :)

I haven't read it since I was a kid. I'm really enjoying it this time around so far!

Sarah Addison Allen is one my favorite authors. You should definitely read more books by her! :)

Yeah, now that First Frost is available, I couldn't hold out on reading Lost Lake any longer. :) It was so good!

My name is Julie, and I own a lot of books. As in, they are stacked on the floor because I've run out of room on the shelves. And those shelves? There are so many books on them that they smile -- not sag; smile. This blog will cover book reviews and all manner of other bookish things.
