It's Monday! What Are You Reading?

It's sweet corn season! I love living in a state where we get so much fresh-out-of-the-garden produce during the summer (and I love that my in-laws have a huge garden and are willing to share, so I don't have to grow things myself - it wouldn't go well). My little guy had his first experience with corn on the cob this week. He didn't get much off, but he enjoyed trying!

What I Read Last Week

False Colours by Georgette Heyer (I've never had a Heyer book fail me yet. They are all so good!)
First Among Sequels by Jasper Fforde (Snuck my July reread in just in time!)

What I'm Reading Now

Lady of Magick by Sylvia Izzo Hunter (I read the first book in the series a year ago, and I'm finally picking up the second. I don't know what took me so long, because I'm loving it so far!)

What's Coming Up Next

Around the World in 50 Years: My Adventure to Every Country on Earth by Albert Podell (This has to be the ultimate travel narrative, right? I'm really looking forward to this one.)

I'm no gardener either -- wish I was but i haven't had much luck the few times I tried and now I don't have the time!

Plants have never been my thing. It's all I can do to keep up with weeding the flower beds ("keep up" by its loosest definition). :)

Don't feel bad! My yard is a complete embarrassment -- we've finally given in and scheduled a clean up with a landscaper. Yard work with a toddler is hard!

We have a garden. When I weed it takes 6 years. hahaha. My mother came over the other day and she had the garden weeded in about 30 mins. I was so jealous. I have no idea why I have a garden... lol

Ugh, weeding is the worst! Audiobooks are about the only thing I've found that make weeding at all tolerable. And isn't it amazing how moms are just naturally better at so many things? :)
