This would be such a pleasant place to read!
Back in April, my husband and I took a weekend trip to Chicago. I haven't shared too many of our pictures from that trip yet, so I thought I would remedy that today. Being the bibliophile that I am, we of course had to visit the Chicago Public Library. I would love to live close to that library - so many books! The library is the building on the left. It was built in 1991. The strange-looking green things on the corners are decorations that include owls, which symbolize knowledge. I just thought this sign was kind of funny - first names will be disregarded. :) The top story is an atrium with trees and tables and chairs. This would be such a pleasant place to read! Saturday Snapshot is hosted by West Metro Mommy.

I live in Milwaukee. I might need to check out the library next time I go to Chicago. :)

One of my favorite things to do when visiting a city is to check out their library. Just sometimes it makes me wish I lived close enough to use it regularly! :)

When I lived in Chicago, I loved spending time at the main downtown library. Its gorgeous and easy to spend hours wandering around.

I can see how you could wander around for hours without even realizing it! :)

My name is Julie, and I own a lot of books. As in, they are stacked on the floor because I've run out of room on the shelves. And those shelves? There are so many books on them that they smile -- not sag; smile. This blog will cover book reviews and all manner of other bookish things.
