This weekly chance to add to your reading list is hosted by Kathryn at Book Date.
I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving and extra-long weekend! I enjoyed spending time with family, putting up a Christmas tree (for my in-laws; not ours yet), and staying up late reading. Now it's back to reality!

What I Read Last Week

The Moonstone by Wilkie Collins (I did not expect to get this book read in one week. But it was so good that I had difficulty putting it down. I even stayed up past my bedtime Saturday so I could finish it!)

What I'm Reading Now

Island of the Aunts by Eva Ibbotson (This is really cute so far.)
The Importance of Being Earnest and Four Other Plays by Oscar Wilde (I was hoping to finish this over this long weekend, but I didn't quite make it. Just one more play to go!

What's Coming Up Next

Vivaldi's Virgins by Barbara Quick (I'm a music history geek. And this will complete by Authors A-Z Challenge!)

The Moonstone is so addictive. When I was reading it, I remember leaving a party early to go home and finish!

I am glad that you enjoyed your holiday! It is always nice to get those extra days. :) I think we are going to try to do the tree here this weekend - we haven't put one up in years. We will see how the cats do!

I've got I Am Malala on my TBR already, and now I'm going to take a look at Vivaldi's Virgins, as I am also a bit of a music history geek and I haven't heard of that one. Thanks for the tip!

It's good to hear you had a wonderful holiday weekend... We put our tree up last night. We like to have the tree up on the 1st, but it being a work day for my partner, we did it on the weekend because what's decorating without all the family involved?!!

Happy Reading!

The Moonstone is one of my favorite books! Like you, when I read it I did not think I would get it finished as soon as I did but it's just so engaging!

I really enjoyed Eva Ibbotson's adult novels that I have read - must read some more. I am sure her children's ones are fantastic too.

The Moonstone sounds like a fabulous read. I love when I have to keep coming back to what I'm reading.

The Moonstone sounds like a good mystery adventure. Thanks for the rec. Glad you had a terrific Thanksgiving. We put up our tree on Sunday, the husband setting it up w/the lights, me fluffing up the branches, and the girls hanging our ornaments.
