This weekly chance to add to your reading list is hosted by Kathryn at Book Date.
It's been a busy weekend! We've been working for nearly two years on remodeling our upstairs. We're turning an unfinished room into a master bedroom and adding another bathroom. It's been a long, slow process that will probably never be completely done. But this weekend, we were finally able to move upstairs! Now the next step is to get the nursery ready. . .

What I Read Last Week

Akin to Anne: Tales of Other Orphans by L.M. Montgomery (I enjoyed discovering these stories I'd never read before.)
The Penderwicks on Gardam Street by Jeanne Birdsall (This series is just delightful!)

What I'm Reading Now

Lost in Rooville by Ray Blackston (It's taking me a little while to get into this one. I think that's partly because it turns out that it's the third book in a series. Didn't know that when I bought it, so I'm playing catch-up!)
War and Peace by Leo Tolstoy (Still on track with my goal! 420 out of 1,361 pages completed. That's 30%!)

What's Coming Up Next

Julie of the Wolves by Jean Craighead George (It makes total sense to go from a book set in Australia to one set in the Alaskan tundra, right?)

The remodelling sounds like a big project, but progressing along now by the sounds of it.

You're going strong with War and Peace - I honestly would have given up by now. Me and long books just don't go.

Happy Reading - and have a wonderful week!

The remodeling was a huge project for sure, but we're in the home stretch now!

15 pages a day of War and Peace has been very manageable for me. This never would have worked if I just tried to plow straight through without reading anything else.

Hope you have a great week as well! :)

Now that I've gotten into War and Peace, I'm enjoying it. I'm actually surprised at how much I'm enjoying it! :)

War and Peace is on my list but after I finish these chunkers that I have going I'm going to have to opt for something a little lighter! LOL!
Hope you have a great week!

Yup, nursery! We're expecting a little boy in April. :)

War and Peace is quite a commitment! I hope you get a chance to try it after some light reading. :)

My name is Julie, and I own a lot of books. As in, they are stacked on the floor because I've run out of room on the shelves. And those shelves? There are so many books on them that they smile -- not sag; smile. This blog will cover book reviews and all manner of other bookish things.
