This weekly chance to add to your reading list is hosted by Kathryn at Book Date.
Well, I certainly got my wish for more snow this winter! We had a doozy of a snowstorm here last week, resulting in three snow days - which meant lots of reading time! I love cuddling up with a good book when it's snowing outside.

Farmer Boy might be my favorite Laura Ingalls Wilder book. I also just finished Winter and loved the series wrap-up. Come see my week here. Happy reading!

This is my first time through the Little House series, and I'm really enjoying experiencing it. Glad to hear Winter is awesome, as well! :)

That's kind of how I feel about all of Jules Verne's books... not quite as action packed as I want them to be but still very interesting.

Twenty Thousand Leagues needs to come with pictures. Then I wouldn't completely zone out through the paragraphs of scientific descriptions of undersea plants and animals. :)

Loved all of the Little House Books and recently found out that I am distantly related to the family which is really cool. Thanks for sharing.
Laura :)

I totally forgot about Little House! Noooo! I will have to start Farmer Boy this month and catch up. I love that one anyway. :)

Wow you got a lot of snow! We only had about 2 inches. :( I feel if it is going to snow at this point, then give us big snow! Lol. We will see what this new winter storm warning brings us! Enjoy any consequent snow days! :)

Last week, we got about ten inches. Yesterday, we got another 8 or 9. It's a good thing we had that warm weekend first, or I would be completely buried! :)

I really would love to reread all the Little House books. One time I must make this a priority!

There's a read-along going on right now, which is the only reason I'm finally getting around to reading them all. Hooray to the motivation of reading challenges!

Good for you for plugging away at War and Peace. I don't think I even made it past the first 100 pages!

If this was the only book I was reading, I would have fizzled out long ago. But 15 pages a day, little by little, really seems to be working for me. Now I just need to push on to the end! :)

My name is Julie, and I own a lot of books. As in, they are stacked on the floor because I've run out of room on the shelves. And those shelves? There are so many books on them that they smile -- not sag; smile. This blog will cover book reviews and all manner of other bookish things.
