It's summer! It's summer! The days of reading while soaking up the sun are finally here! But more importantly. . .

Today is my first blogoversary!

I borrowed this image from http://www.gennasarnak.com, mostly because those were my wedding colors. :)
I don't have any fancy giveaways or anything. I just want to say thank you to everyone who has read my bookish thoughts or left me comments over the past year. I've enjoyed becoming part of this community so much, and I'm looking forward to seeing what the next year of blogging will bring!

What's Coming Up Next

The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas (This is a LONG book! I didn't realize quite what I was getting myself into when I put it on my Classics Club list. Thankfully it's been an enjoyable and surprisingly easy read so far. It's just LONG!)

Happy blogoversary! Hmm, I don't think I realized that CoM was so long either... will have to take that into consideration later...
Just wanted you to know that I was formally "Joyful Reader" at The Joyful Bookcase but I changed my blog name due to a change in my life focus. Hope to see you around sometime! :)

Congratulations on the new blogging venture! I'm sure I'll be visiting soon. :)

Count of Monte Cristo is seriously long, but it really is a pretty easy read. And it's a good book!

Happy blogoversary! I somehow managed to go through college and grad school (masters in English) without reading any Alexandre Dumas. I have The Count of Monte on my shelf, one of these days I will get to it!

I read The Three Musketeers during college, and I enjoyed it. If you can dedicate the time to reading Monte Cristo, it's a really good story!

Happy Blogoversary!

I haven't read The Count of Monte Cristo, but I did read The Man With the Iron Mask a few years ago. You can do it!

My name is Julie, and I own a lot of books. As in, they are stacked on the floor because I've run out of room on the shelves. And those shelves? There are so many books on them that they smile -- not sag; smile. This blog will cover book reviews and all manner of other bookish things.
