Reading Children's Classics as an Adult (My mom wrote a guest post about reading Anne of Green Gables for the first time. Check it out!)
This weekly chance to add to your reading list is hosted by Sheila at Book Journey. I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. My whole weekend was filled with lots of food and family time - which was awesome. But it also meant that I didn't get a lot of reading in (I didn't pick up my book for the entire day on Friday - gasp!). Ah, well. There will be other days. :) My Recent PostsWhat's in a Name & Read It Again, Sam - Challenges Complete! I should tell my friend to check out "Kira-Kira" because she loves the Japanese culture and I think she would like this one! Thanks for sharing and hope you have a great reading week! :)

If your friend likes Japanese culture, she should definitely check out Kira-Kira. It's an interesting look at how that culture meshes becomes a Japanese American culture. I hope you have a great week, too, Laura!

Some parts I really like, some parts I couldn't definitely live without. So far, the second half is better than the first. I hope you enjoy when you get around to reading it!

Nice variety of books. I really should catch up on the Newberys that I have missed. <a href="http://inside-dog.blogspot.com/2014/12/its-monday-what-are-you-reading-dec-1.html">Come see my week.</a> Happy reading!

Newberys are fun to slip in-between other books. Nice, quick reads. I'm hosting a Newbery Reading Challenge in 2015, if you're interested, Kathy. Have a great week!
