Make Me Read It Readathon - Vote, Please!

I discovered this readathon through Christine at Buckling Bookshelves, and it sounded like a lot of fun. Here are the basics:
Look at the books you own, either physical, e-book or ones you've borrowed from the library and pick out a few you really want to read, or feel like you should read. It’s up to you how many you pick, personally I'd pick a few more than you expect to be able to read in a week. Example: if you think you’ll only read two, pick out five books or if you think you can read seven, pick out ten.

Make a list of these books on your blog, or make a video, or a Goodreads shelf or post a picture on Instagram—whatever is easiest for you. Then get friends, other bloggers/booktubers etc. to vote on which books you HAVE to read.

When the readathon comes along, you read the books in the order of most votes. For example, if one book gets 10 votes—you read that first, then the one that got 7 and so on. If there's a tie, then it's your preference. The goal is to read as many as possible.
The readathon takes place July 9 - 16, which is right after my next Library Day - perfect! I'll probably only get through 3 books that week, but there are seven choices below to vote on. Vote for no more than 5, please. Voting ends July 6. And then I'll start reading your top picks on July 9!

Thanks for the shout out! Glad to hear you are on board :) :) Mastering the Art of French Eating was good on audio!

Ooh, I'll have to see if my library has it available in audio. Then I'd get through even more books during the readathon! :)

The Midnight Rose is one of only two books on the list that I actually own. It's always a good idea to read my own books, so thanks for voting for that one! :)

Little House on the Prairie is such a classic! My mom read them to me when I was little, and I need to reread them. :-)
I'm participating as well; if you'd like to vote on my poll, you can see it here: https://abookwormsperfectapple.wordpress.com/2016/06/22/its-official-i-am-absolutely-insane/

The only trouble with this challenge is finding So Many More Good Books To Read!!! :) Looks like an awesome selection you have there. I definitely voted for my favorites. If you end up reading Ingalls' Little House, you should also look up The Birchbark House--it's flat out amazing, and was written as a Native American equivalent.

I've actually read The Birchbark House, and the other two books in the series. I agree - they are amazing!

Oh my word - were did you find these ones??They all look amazing and I've NEVER heard of them.Except of course Little House on the Prairy. I've voted for the first one - the Mr Lemoncello's one. Because I mean really - who doesn't want to read that title??? Will need to come visit you more often.

Mr. Lemoncello's Library Olympics is actually the sequel to Escape from Mr. Lemoncello's Library - which is one of my all-time favorite middle grade novels. I literally danced around the house when I finished it because I loved it so much! :)

I hope you have fun! I voted for the three MG/YA books, because I've read the Wilder and George books, and Mr. Lemoncello's Library Olympics is an irresistible title. The Lost Girls sounds good, too. I love that you picked a range of genres and ages for your challenge.

Thanks for coming by, voting, and introducing yourself!

I'm glad you stopped by, Lark! I'm a fairly eclectic reader, and this list is a good reflection of that. Now I can't wait to dive in and read them all! :)

My name is Julie, and I own a lot of books. As in, they are stacked on the floor because I've run out of room on the shelves. And those shelves? There are so many books on them that they smile -- not sag; smile. This blog will cover book reviews and all manner of other bookish things.
